Painting Climate for Action

Local artists inspired to paint the impacts fo climate change in hopes of spurring others into action.

A group within the Pine Ridge Art Association recently responded to a presentation by SCAN! (Seniors for
Climate Action Now! ) by painting images of the effects of climate change in our community and our connected world.

The goal is that the artworks will encourage more Northumberland citizens to take action to reduce the
amount of CO2 in our atmosphere, in whatever way is available to them. The group hopes to inspire other art groups and individual artists to create art that raises public awareness of Environmental and Climate problems and opportunities.

Pine Ridge Art Association will include a ‘Climate Art’ section in their fall art show in Cobourg. They are also pursuing additional exhibition space, please watch for further information (see links below).
